Insomnia

breathe deep, never fall asleep

I’ve found a way to empty my head

released I am lost in the world i was led

with a twist and turn, my heart beats for the night to come

deep inside I burn, I give in to the rising sun 

* in riddles it all comes to me

a voice that i never believed

I see all my past desires, fuel a reality

that feeds, unfamiliar lives that I wanted to lead

my subconscious lies unattached in these shallow holes *

consequence never questioned or known

I’m called away by the whispers i hear

provide me strength disconnect from my fears

I begin to fly and i realize who controls
